Raise Your Vibration
How is today, the last day of April? This year is really flying by. I hope you all are doing well; I am doing fantastic. I got my second covid shot last week, and I'm so relieved to be fully vaccinated now. It will make going out easier for me.
In the middle of last year, I started getting into the Law of Attraction and love it. I manifested a job last summer, which was so cool to see what I was practising, actually work. Today I wanted to share a vital aspect of the Law of Attraction. And that is vibrations/frequencies.
What is the Law of Attraction?
Before I get into the bulk of this post, I want to give you a refresher on the Law Of Attraction.
To put it simply,
You can manifest anything you desire through positive affirmations and visualising your desired outcomes. If you're interested, here's some more information about the Law of Attraction.
Okay, so now I know what the LOA is. What the heck is your "vibration?"
Your "vibration" is a fancy way of saying "your overall state of being." Everything in The Universe is made up of energy vibrating at different frequencies. Even things that look solid are made up of vibrational energy fields at the quantum level - including you."
What does this have to do with LOA?
Your overall state of being determines how well or not your manifestations work. If you radiate happiness, light, kindness, gratitude, and good humour - you will attract more of that into your life. If you radiate darkness, depression, anxiety, sadness, hatred, and loneliness - you will attract more of that into your life.
Storytime
Many moons ago, I vibrated at a very low level. I was depressed all the time, my anxiety was off the charts, and I hated happy and positive people. I truly hated my life and how my mental and physical health made doing things 100x more challenging. I radiated negativity and brought a lot of toxicity into my life in the form of fake friends, loneliness, depression, cyberbullying, etc. My glass was always half-empty.
Fast forward to the present day - I still deal with the same health challenges I used to, but they are better managed. Through a lot of work, I got myself out of the hell I was living in and into a better place in life. A place where I could radiate positivity, light, contentment, kindness, good humour, confidence, and gratitude - essentially all the things I hated in other people when I was radiating at a lower frequency than them. My glass is always overflowing and spilling onto my lap.
Things you can do to raise your vibration
Be aware of your thoughts
If you think, "Oh, my life sucks. I hate my life." chances are - your life will suck, and you will hate it. But if you change your thoughts to, "My life is beautiful, and I am strong enough to overcome any challenges that I face." you will begin to see how truly amazing your life is. It will be easier for you to get through the ups and downs of life. Somedays, life will just suck, and that's okay. Just don't unpack and live there. It's okay to stay at the "Life Sucks Motel" for a short time, but don't make it your home.
If you feel/believe that your glass is always half-empty, chances are, it always will be. But if you think/believe that, "my glass is overflowing and spilling onto my lap." your glass will always be overflowing, and that positivity you radiate will spill onto the other people in your life.
If you imagine your life is horrible, your life will become that way. But if you imagine your dream life and all that you want in life - with time, your present life will become your dream life.
This is not to say, "good vibes only" (and "I have to shun all negative things." aka toxic positivity). As I mentioned earlier, I have reasonable cause to know that sometimes, life just sucks, and that's okay. Life is not always unicorns and roses. When life sucks, acknowledge it and work through it (not over it). Stay at the "Life Sucks Motel" for a short time, but don't make it your home. Work through the challenges and then move on.
Be kind to others
Going along with what I said above about "my cup is overflowing and spilling onto my lap." when you know that you have an overabundance of goodness, you can share that with others. An excellent way to do that is to practice acts of kindness. That could be paying for people's gas/groceries or visiting the elderly at a nursing home. It can be as simple as leaving nice comments on people's Instagram posts. Kindness matters.
Appreciate the beauty around you
There is beauty all around us - even within the mess - it just takes the right eye to see it. Like right now, as I write this, I am sitting outside a local cafe. To my left, a big plant is partially in the sunlight. The sun makes the leaves glow. The sun is keeping me warm, and the feeling of gentle sunlight on my arms is really beautiful. The sun is beautiful because it allows things (people included) to grow.
Be conscious of what you eat
Yes, our food vibrates too. Organic fruits and veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and non-processed foods vibrate at a higher frequency than a Double Big Mac does (fast food doesn't vibrate at all). If we eat healthily, we will continuously have a higher/better state of being. To learn more about nutrition and its frequencies - click here.
Stay hydrated
This one is a no-brainer. If you're hydrated, you're going to feel better, right? Water will help us flush out any toxins/toxicity in our body, which will help us vibrate at our highest.
Practice gratitude
Gratitude and being grateful are critical factors in LOA. If we are thankful for everything (yes, I mean everything), we will be happier when we are constantly reminded of the abundance in our life (versus what we lack). Here's a link to the best gratitude journal.
Dance it out
Yes, I am going to make a Grey's Anatomy reference here. Dance parties are a great way to raise your vibration. Dancing gets your blood flowing, can shake out any lousy energy you feel, and is just so fun. I love putting on my Mainstream Mixtape playlist and randomly dancing around my room. A TikTok dance or two might make an appearance when those songs come up (given that there are only two TikTok dance songs on that playlist).
Sing
This one is kinda random and might be more of a "me" thing. Singing/acting out my favourite musicals is the best way to raise my frequency (anyone wants to see a one-woman show of Into The Woods, starring me as all the characters). I do this daily, which is a great way to feel better when I'm Breaking Down. (Did anyone get that musical reference)? Acting out musicals forces me to focus on the lyrics, the character, and what they are feeling rather than what I'm feeling/whatever made me upset.
And that concludes this post. I was super excited to write this, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. As always, don't forget to give this post a like, leave a comment telling me your biggest takeaway, and share this post with someone you think might benefit. Sending you all the light and love in this world. See you next time!
